Plough Model Terms

HA - hydraulic furrow width adjustment with shearbolt body protection
MA - manual furrow width adjustment with shearbolt body protection
MR - manual furrow width adjustment with spring back body protection
FS - fixed furrow width body with shearbolt protection
FR - fixed furrow width body with spring back body protection
DF - Delta Furra - a Dowdeswell trade name descibing ploughs with adjustable furrow width
P-P - Point to Point - the distance measured between plough bodies, eg 1st to 2nd furrow
FW - Furrow Width - the ploughing width of the each mouldboard assembly
HP - Horse Power - 1 horse power is 0.7457 Kilowatts
DP - Dowdeswell Plough - used for the earlier ranges of Dowdeswell plough in order of design
DEC - Dowdeswell Electronic Control - a headland automation system for some semi-mounted ploughs
F SERIES - fixed furrow width plough range
U/BEAM - distance from tip of the plough point to the closest part of the plough beam
